Winner of the first prize at the International Singing Competition for Baroque Opera «Pietro Antonio Cesti» (2025), Salvador Simão graduated with distinction from Codarts University of the Arts in Rotterdam, Salvador continues to study with Charlotte Riedijk.

Repertoire at the DNOA includes Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria (Eumete), Haydn’s La fedeltà premiata (Fileno), Weil Die sieben Todsünden (Tenor I), Ullmann’s Der Kaiser von Atlantis (Ein Soldat), the European premiere of Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg’s Nighttown (Stephen Dedalus), Donizetti Il campanello (Spiridione) and the Schoolmaster in Leoš Janáček’s Příhody lišky Bystroušky (The Cunning Little Vixen).

In addition to his recital debut in Vienna, 2026 will see him make his appear in Händel’s Atalanta at the Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik.
