Developing our student’s vocal and artistic identities

The DNOA offers a wide-ranging curriculum that encompasses all aspects in the training of an aspiring opera artist. In addition to the focus on developing and refining technical skills (vocal, dramatic and physical), students are encouraged and supported in developing a very clear sense of who they are both as both a singer and as an artist. All elements of the programme are tailored so as to enable young artists to enhance chances of success in a competitive field as they transition from full-time education to the workplace.

Our mission

The DNOA is dedicated to the development of young opera singers. Our learning environment distinguishes itself from a more conventional Master’s programme in voice or an opera studio attached to a company, and defines its purpose based on a set of unique values and characteristics.
