Health
A career in performance places significant physical, mental, and artistic demands on musicians. Learning how to meet these demands in a healthy and sustainable way is an essential part of professional development and should not be underestimated.
With this in mind, the Dutch National Opera Academy places strong emphasis on wellbeing and supports students in developing their own balanced and sustainable working practices—both during the programme and throughout their future careers. To this end, the DNOA works closely with the health and wellbeing programmes of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, which are specifically designed to meet the needs of performing arts students.
The closing date for applications to join the programme in Autumn 2026 is Sunday 11. January 2026.
