Tinka Pypker

The Dutch soprano Tinka Pypker graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in 2019, with high distinction, winning the ‘Fock medaille’ for the best final exam. Her operatic experience includes Papagena in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, La Fortuna and Venere in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea, La Speranza in L’Orfeo, and the leading role in Eyal Margalit’s Kijk op voor de val at the Opera Forward Festival of the Dutch National Opera. As a concert soloist, she has sung in Bach’s passions and Mozart’s masses, and Brahms lieder in new orchestrations, under Jac van Steen. Since September 2019 Tinka has been a participant at the Dutch National Opera Academy where she studies with Catrin Wyn-Davies. She made her debut at the academy as Amy in Mark Adamo’s Little Women. Future roles include Despina in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Maguélonne in Viardot’s Cendrillon, Lentulo in Graun’s Cleopatra e Cesare and Rosalinde in Johann Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. She will also perform Ophélie’s mad scene from Thomas’s Hamlet in a gala concert with the Residentie Orkest.
