Lucie van Ree
Mezzo soprano

Lucie van Ree is a Dutch mezzo-soprano with a great passion for music and theatre. She is currently involved with the Dutch National Opera Academy where her voice teacher is Hanneke de Wit. Before joining the DNOA she studied with Jard van Nes and Harry Ruijl at Fontys School of Fine and Performing Arts. She has appeared as Veronique in Bizet’s Le docteur Miracle, Mademoiselle Lange in Lecoq’s La fille de Madame Angot, as Ulrike in Aorta, which was presented at the Opera Forward Festival of the National Opera, and as Alma March in the opera Little Women by Mark Adamo performed by the Dutch National Opera Academy. In addition, she also gives song recitals and can be seen as a soloist in various oratorios. This year she will be performing in the new opera Lijflied presented by Opera Zuid, as Arsace in Graun’s Cleopatra e Cesare, as Armelinde in Viardot’s Cendrillon and as Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte presented by Bredeweg festival.
