Nikki Treurniet (1989) / soprano
Dutch soprano, Nikki Treurniet, graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague and is currently a member of the Dutch National Opera Academy. She’s being coached by Sasja Hunnego and Henny Diemer.
Her recent stage appearances include Zerlina, Silvia (Mozart’s Ascanio in Alba) and the Elf in Mendelssohn’s Midsummer Night’s Dream with The Hague Philharmonic.
Coming season Nikki will make her debut at the Dutch National Opera performing the role of Anima Ingrate in a staged version of Monteverdi’s I'll ballo dell'Ingrate with Les Talents Lyriques. She’s worked with conductors such as Kenneth Montgomery, Jac van Steen, Jan Willem de Vriend and Walter Althammer.
As a concert soloist she has performed Bach’s Matthäus-Passion, Johannes-Passion, and Weihnachtsoratorium, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches requiem, Mozart’s Krönungsmesse and Exultate Jubilate, and Händel’s Messiah.
Nikki is strongly committed to the performance of Lied and chamber music and together with pianist Andrea Vasi she’s given song recitals in various halls in The Netherlands. In 2016 Trio Cortado invited her for concerts with a special arrangement of Schumann’s Frauenliebe und -Leben.
